Only a small modification is need on the firewall lip of 1957/58 Fords to install the Y-Block MSD Distributor. The MSD works excellent and offers the most gain in performance over other plain electronic conversions. You can see pictures of my Supercharged Custom firewall with only minor work.  John

Yes there is two different trim pieces.  Sounds like you got trim for a 1957 Ford Custom 300.  The upper moulding and the gold finish panel are different. The lower moulding is the same for both cars.  www.1957ford.com

Hi Rob,  Sounds like someone cut to much off the front springs.  You can cut one full coil off the front coil spring and still have plenty of room for a correct alignment.  Granada spindles with disc brakes is a great set-up.  You will get about a 1 1/2 inch drop.  With a standard front coil spring with one full coil cut ...
