    Brake problems

I had two brake experts exam the power brakes I had installed on my Fairlane.  They were unable to characterize the problem beyond "something"s wrong with the booster.

The shoes, drums, cylinders and tubing are ok.  The brake pedal remains very depressed after driving and the brake lights remain on until I remove the wire from its master cylinder jack.

I took the car to a brakeshop.  After checking the problem they said that their mechanics were not familiar with power brakes in very old cars.

Its possible the rod from br pedal to master cyl is too short . there are several lengths . if the system wasnt specific for your car the rod that came with it is probably too short and it wont push the pedal out far enough
