    1957 rachero heater questions

Can anyone help me? I'm trying to hook up my heater that had been disconected. Someone just looped the hoses at the heater core. The only cable that I have conected now is the heat to defrost cable. I need to know where the heater cutoff valve is supposed to be and the temperature control valve. They are all cable operated (no vacuum) and I am pretty sure that thay are to be under the hood as there is no temperature control valve on the heater core. Can anyone help with location and or part numbers? Thanks for any help.

O.K. Guys,  I have the non-fresh-air model of heater. Which means that the blower motor is mounted into the lower firewall instead of the top of the fresh-air box. And there is no fresh-air box. Does this help or do I have the only one in the U.S.? I looked in the service manual that I have but it only mentions the two types of heaters systems and only shows the fresh-air model.

There is no heater control valve on this style heater.  You should only have a single control.  Pull it out half way for heater, pull it out all the way you have defrost.  Turn the knob to the right one click low fan, second click high blower fan.  Go ahead and send me a email at gambill@1957ford.com an I'll send you some pictures of the system. Sorry know one got back to you.
